Wilderness Emergency Medical Education (WEME), established in Alaska in 2015, specializes in delivering accredited SOLO Schools Wilderness Medical Courses. From Wilderness First Aid to Wilderness EMT, we offer a broad range of life-saving wilderness medical training programs.  We have delivered courses all over Alaska and to organizations such as:  NPS, AKRR, BLM, USDA, ADF&G, DNR, NASA, NOAA, US ARMY, Native Corporations, Guides/Outfitters and many more.  ​

While wilderness medicine is what WEME is known for, there are other genres of outdoor education courses we offer that allow us to share our decades of experience, knowledge and passion.  From women's specific courses and youth experiential outdoor training programs, to glacier travel and crevasse rescue classes- we offer something for all!  Our courses can be customized for private training.  Contact us today to schedule a private training for your group. ​

We train hundreds of students per year, both at our training center and throughout our vast state.  Our training center is nestled against the Talkeetna Mountains, adjacent to the Matanuska Moose Range,  just 15 minutes from downtown Palmer.  With miles of nearby trails to explore, wide-open training space, and several classroom buildings (including our Yurt), our campus is the quintessential wilderness training center.
